Peter Pan

This is from a two-term project where we were tasked to design four-five characters and two environments from one of seven well-known children’s tales. For this project I chose to work on Peter Pan and worked closely with the original text, bringing out the wonder and latent horror of the classic early 19th century tale. I heavily referenced historical costumes for the majority of the characters (with a fantastical twist) and focused on making the colour palettes starkly different for each environment and character.

The final art combined Photoshop and either textures from scanned patterned papers or photographs. A number of textures and patterns, particularly in Hook’s cabin, were made in Photoshop or Illustrator.
